Embroidered enlisted rank patches for wear on the male Army Service Uniform jacket sleeves. These patches require tailoring to sew the insignia onto the coat sleeves. Sold in pairs. Patches for the Female ASU Coat are smaller than the Male version.
From the DA PAM 670-1 regarding placement of the Rank Insignia:
e. How worn.
(1) Nonsubdued grade insignia, sew-on (Army service uniform). Enlisted nonsubdued cloth grade insignia is sewn on each sleeve of the ASU coat. Insignia with a blue background is worn on the ASU coat. For enlisted personnel, male Soldiers will wear the large insignia and female Soldiers will wear small insignia. The insignia is worn centered between the shoulder seam and elbow (see fig 21–56).
